Oxidation of Alcohols into Carbonyl Compounds Using a CuO@GO Nano Catalyst in Oxygen Atmospheres

In this article, the oxidation of alcohols into carbonyl compounds was studied in oxygen atmospheres using a copper oxide on graphene (CuO@GO) nano composites catalyst, synthesized by wet chemistry method. CuO@GO were prepared from GO, and CuO NPs sol-gel The transformation aromatic corresponding good-to-high yields observed catalyst under an atmosphere. Synthesized confirmed FT-IR, XRD, XPS, TEM, FE-SEM, SEM analyses, revealed intercalation CuO-NPs on/in GO sheets through chelation Cu+2 ions with CO, COOH, OH groups presenting sheets. catalytic activity for conversion evaluated TOF (2.56 × 10?3 mol g?1 min?1). use has shown recyclability high to ketones. We assume that proposed can be used other key organic transformations will future.
